We Asked an AI 'Artist' to Create Artworks of Cincinnati and This is What We Got
As artificial intelligence grows smarter and more intuitive, AI generators can now do things like create pieces of writing and artwork. This may sound intimidating to creators and consumers alike, but are AI-generated works really good enough to replace those made by humans?
We wanted to test out what a free AI "artist" could come up with when it came to creating works based on Cincinnati and its landmarks. And while some of the artwork can be considered pretty and a somewhat accurate depiction of the prompt we gave it, others missed the mark entirely in a hilariously delightful and confusing way (especially when it came to the AI trying to create words, like on the Florence Y'all water tower).
So are robots and AI going to replace human creators? Our verdict: Absolutely not, but it's fun to see what they come up with.
