from the team behind cult-favorite Babushka Pierogies, Wódka Bar carries an ambitious selection of vodkas, stocking over 50 types, including Polish and Ukrainian brands that are lesser known in the United States. It also offers a streamlined Eastern European-inspired menu of bites ranging from pierogies to a Polish sausage platter or stuffed cabbage roll. Inside the intimate space, patrons will be enveloped by deep Prussian blues and rich golds, luxe velvet upholstery and distressed plaster walls, elegant wood paneling and all the intricacies of Eastern Orthodox architecture.

One of Over-the-Rhine’s bars appears to have closed permanently.

Wódka Bar, an Eastern European-style cocktail bar that offered an extensive list of vodkas, hasn’t made an official announcement of its closure, but it is now listed as permanently closed on Facebook and Google, and its website has been set to private.

CityBeat has reached out to owner Sarah Dworak about Wódka Bar’s apparent closure but has not heard back at the time of this writing.

The bar celebrated its fifth anniversary in May. At the time, Dworak shared on Facebook that full dinner service at Wódka Bar would be ending in July and the space would return to its original concept as a cocktail bar. Over the summer, Dworak also announced the opening of Sudova, an Eastern European restaurant. Sudova celebrated its grand opening at the end of August.
