Braxton Brewing Company is adding a couple new beverages to their boozy portfolio: Kickback Hard Apple and Rosé Cider. Made with crisp McIntosh apples, the products took years to develop, the brewery says, and they relied on customer feedback to create a palate-pleasing sweetness. Starting the week of July 23, the drinks will be available wherever Braxton distributes.

The brewery is celebrating the release with a weekend-long orchard-themed party July 27-29 featuring food from Holtman's Donuts, Graeter's and ALTO Pizza that incorporates a cider theme, live Bluegrass music and make-your-own caramel apple bar.

“I am so excited about this project,” said Richard Dubé, Braxton co-founder and brewmaster, in a press release. “We had the idea since starting the brewery, but we were just not ready, nor satisfied with our recipe. Now over the past few years, we’ve nailed it. A real cider with tones of fresh cut apples, slightly sweet, finishing mildly tart. A beautiful medley of culinary and bittersweet apples. Refreshing. A great alternative to beer.”

Events start at 7:30 a.m. Friday (July 27), when Holtman's starts serving Kickback Rose donuts and apple fritters. At noon, the can release kicks off and the taproom transforms into the Kickback Orchard, with cans for sale. From 7-10 p.m., Arlo McKinley & The Lonesome Sound will be providing the tunes.

Things start back up at noon on Saturday (July 28) with a Cider's Best Friend specialty pizza (fig, arugula, poached pear and chicken) from ALTO Pizza Kitchen, then live music starts at 1 p.m. and goes through the night.

On Sunday (July 29), Graeter's will be there with a make-your-own caramel apple bar
