Miller Lite and Cincinnati Bengals' defensive end Sam Hubbard are teaming up in a new initiative that will give Ohio sports fans a chance to prove they have the pride and spirit it takes to make the team.

Miller Lite launched its series of "Proudly Brewed in Ohio" sweepstakes Monday. The sweepstakes offer fans a chance to take part in a special tryout with either Hubbard, Triston McKenzie of the Cleveland Guardians or Aidan Morris of Columbus Crew, with 10 lucky winners being selected for each tryout.

The Bengals' tryout will take place on Wednesday, June 5 at the Kettering Health Practice Fields near Paycor Stadium where fans will get to meet Hubbard and take part in running a 96-yard touchdown return.

"I will be there coaching up and showing people around, but they're going to be doing all types of fun activities like seeing if they can run 96 yards for the 96 calories in a Miller Lite and all types of other drills. But I'll be there coaching them," Hubbard told CityBeat. "Show them your pride, go in there, have a good time and be a good sport. It'll be interesting to see what people come up with."

After that, one fan will be selected for the grand prize, which includes receiving a rookie's salary ($2,100), personalized swag and bragging rights.

To enter, follow Miller Lite on Instagram (@millerlite) and create a photo or a video (no longer than 30 seconds) that showcases your pride in the Bengals, Ohio and/or Miller Lite. And as fans gear up to enter the contest and show Hubbard what they're made of on the practice field, Hubbard himself has also been hitting the practice field in the Bengals' offseason workouts.

"We just had the first day with the rookies today, so we're out there doing individual work, weightlifting, running, kind of just getting to know your teammates and I really like the talent, the experience, between veterans and young guys and the chemistry we're building right now. It's going really well," he said.

Hubbard says he's still coming back after having ankle surgery following last season, so his first goal for the 2024 season is to get back to being healthy and 100%.

"It's a bit of a grind, but I'm feeling really good," he added. "Last year, playing through an injury was tough; this year, really just efforts to do everything I can to stay healthy, take care of my body, try new ways to recover. I've invested in a hyperbaric chamber, different routines, added Pilates, just to be out there 100% for the whole season."

The next goal is for the Bengals to win all of their home games, which would be a big key to getting to host a playoff game at Paycor Stadium.

"And once you get to the playoffs, anything can happen," Hubbard said. "I really want a Super Bowl ring in my career, so that's all systems go on that."
