Think you’ve got what it takes to score a perfect game in duckpin bowling? Pins Mechanical is letting people step up to the lane for a chance to win $300,000 and become a duckpin legend in its Pins Perfect Game Challenge.

From Aug. 5-31, challenge participants will have the chance to bowl a perfect 300 game — 12 consecutive strikes — and win the grand prize at any Pins Mechanical facility. Duckpin bowling is similar to traditional bowling, but the ball and pins are smaller and lightweight, and the ball has no finger holes and requires more accuracy to hit the pins. You also get to bowl three times per frame instead of two, but this challenge requires all strikes.

The challenge is open daily from 4-8 p.m., and it’s free to try, no purchase necessary. Participants just need to sign a consent form with a team member — find the person with an iPad — and they’ll receive three tickets. One ticket is one try. When it’s your turn, hand over a ticket and bowl your first frame. If you get a strike, you’ll keep going until you miss or win. When you miss a strike, your turn ends and you’ll get back in line and try again until you’re out of tickets for the day. But, you can return each day for another three attempts.

Challengers must be 18 years or older and must sign the consent form each day to participate. You also can’t share your tickets with other participants. To win the $300,000 prize, all 12 strikes must be completed by the same participant on the same day and at the same location.

Even if you can’t bowl 12 consecutive strikes, there are other prizes. You can win a $100 Pins Mechanical gift card for bowling six to eight consecutive strikes, and nine to 11 strikes earn you a $2,000 Pins Party for you and your friends.
