Artists Kiwi the Duck and L.D. Nehls Team Up for Special Exhibit at Rhinegeist

You'll get the chance to meet the artists, as well as other ducks from Longbottom Bird Ranch.

Two of the best local artists are teaming up to showcase some of their work and raise money for a good cause.

Domestic waterfowl rescue Longbottom Bird Ranch’s resident artist, Kiwi, and Cincinnati artist L.D. Nehls will be putting on the “Art of Ducks” exhibit at Rhinegeist Brewery on Saturday, July 20. The rescue’s founder, Jimmy Longbottom, says he and Nehls thought it would be fun to collaborate on an event after placing in the top two spots for “Best Local Artist” in CityBeat’s Best of Cincinnati 2024 Readers Poll.

The exhibit will feature work created by both Kiwi and Nehls for sale, as well as the chance to meet some of the ducks who live at Longbottom Bird Ranch. There will also be a raffle with the chance to win a unique painting Kiwi and Nehls will make at the event. Proceeds from the art sales and raffle will go toward Longbottom Bird Ranch’s rescue efforts.

Nehls also created designs inspired by Longbottom’s birds that will be sold as stickers and t-shirts during the exhibit.

The exhibit will run from 3-6 p.m. July 20 in Rhinegeist’s taproom at 1910 Elm St. in Over-the-Rhine. Learn more about Longbottom Bird Ranch here.
