The winner of CityBeat’s 2012 Sugar
Rush event was none other than Aunt Flora (Katrina Mincy) of the now
closed Aunt Flora’s House of Soul and the newly opened The Cobbleria
downtown. After winning everyone over with her peach cobbler, Flora
isn’t retiring the rolling pin anytime soon.

in Fairfield wasn’t big enough for you, a second location in Eastgate
boasts an even larger space at 215,000 square feet. This is the place to
get everything from kangaroo meat to hookahs. And if you can’t find,
say, the gluten-free eggrolls, either store’s employees will track them
down for you.

Cincinnati’s newest seafood restaurant is also its best. Welcome to Porkopolis, Anchor OTR. I love the scale of this restaurant. No, not the fish scales! The size and scope. It’s just right.

that pumpkin is the new bacon. They may be on to something. Listen to
this shopping list a friend just posted on Facebook: pumpkin coffee,

of my friends couldn’t point it out on a map. But lucky for us, Ohio
just welcomed its first Malaysian restaurant right outside Cincinnati.
In the belly of an old municipal building in Mason is the new restaurant
Straits of Malacca.

restaurants Adriatico’s and Eli’s BBQ got national recognition this week when
they appeared on Urbanspoon’s top 100 “cheap eats” list. Urbanspoon chose these two eateries, as well

Eli’s BBQ upgraded
from a tent at Fountain Square and Findlay Market to a permanent home in the
East End this year. They serve smoked meat and home-cooked sides. On Friday afternoons, you can bring your own drinks to accompany the
