It’s pretty clear that no one is ever going to solve the whole chicken or the egg thing. But that’s not going to stop Kentucky legislators from trying, as Ohio’s legalization of casino gambling has forced them to rethink their casino-gaming chicken and horse-racing egg (or is it the other way around?).
Hey, I read Larry Gross' amusing "Lunch With Andrea" Living Out Loud column (issue of Nov. 26) and could not help but wonder: Was he really having lunch with my grandmother? She couldn't bring herself to vote for Barack Obama and, like Gross' friend, holds on to the belief that Republicans are looking out for her.
I’m a regular reader of Larry Gross’ Living Out Loud column. I’m constantly amazed at how he puts himself out there, and last week’s column is no exception (“My Bartender and Bar Politics,” issue of Nov. 12). His “ode to a bartender” story was wonderful.
