 I’m sick of the Tailhook nature of navigating daily life when people are so blithely rude they let doors slam in the faces of the people behind them, they jostle and slam into others without so much as an “excuse me,” so by the time I retreat back to home base I feel like an abused slab of dough.

While contemplating the latest call for the end of time, I realized that if, indeed, this truly is the end, then I might be a bit more prepared to just sit back and say that it has been one helluva ride.

The end is an equation with a repeating decimal. Worse yet, the end is like spending decades watching a television stuck on a channel broadcasting shows with dreadful, predictable endings, yet living another day to watch those same shows again.

Even those who don’t believe in the Bible as a source and guide from a higher power would be willing to concede that the stories of Christ’s social mission speak to a degree of efficiency and discipline that could be a model, especially in today’s world.
