About halfway through “Deathcamp,” the lead track on Tyler, the Creator’s new album Cherry Bomb, the dense, hard-charging music takes a breather so the controversial California-bred rapper can declare, “I don’t like to follow the rules/And that’s just who I am/I hope you understand.” No doubt many don’t understand, which seems to suit Tyler just fine

Jay Z takes to Twitter in defense of his much maligned streaming service Tidal, a New Jersey judge rules that taking an 11-year-old to a concert by Pop star Pink was not a risk to her safety/welfare and Target won't carry Tyler, the Creator's Cherry Bomb because it was released a week early on iTunes.

Organizers of the 12.12.12 Sandy relief concert got Bill Clinton to plead with Led Zeppelin to perform (they, again, said no); Mountain Dew and Hip Hop aren't mixing so well lately, as the soda company axes endorsement deals with Lil Wayne and Tyler, the Creator, for controversial lyrics and a goat commercial (respectively); and a Minnesota man pretended to be David Gilmour while getting checked out at a local hospital and was promptly arrested when staffers looked up a photo of the real Gilmour on the web.
