Les Claypool is primarily known for
fronting his band Primus, but he has also proven to be a diverse,
intelligent and unique bass player who can throw down with a variety of
other artists in a wide array of genres.
Stick Men is an all-star group of musicians that made
their mark in the Prog Rock and Fusion music worlds. The band includes
Tony Levin on bass, Pat Mastelotto on drums and Markus Reuter on guitar.
But all is not as it seems.
Yes, folks, guitar-and-drum duos still exist in Rock &
Roll! In this case, it is the husband and wife team of guitarist and
singer Sasha Alcott and drummer Chris Viner. Together, they make up the
band When Particles Collide.
The trio has
survived shifting trends and natural creative lulls to become a
consistently powerful Prog/Rock entity, confident enough in their skills
and their fans to take appropriate risks and reap appropriate rewards.
From the very start, dada crafted a unique sonic identity
that defied comparison to their AltRock/Grunge peer group. The Los
Angeles trio offered a sophisticated blend of Prog’s
complexity and precision, Power Pop’s sunny melodicism and
Psychedelia’s swirling abandon.
If Ben Chasny had his way, he wouldn't be trapped here on
Earth but rather levitating somewhere far above it. Over the 14-year
span of releases from Six Organs of Admittance, Chasny's pet project
fleshed out by a rotating cast of players, he's made his love for the
heavens perfectly clear.
