The personality known as Unknown Hinson is portrayed by Stuart Danny Baker, a hell of a guitarist from North Carolina who invented the tongue-in-cheek character so he could rip on everything from Hendrix tunes to original songs like “Fish Camp Woman,” “I Ain’t Afraid of Your Husband” and “I Cleaned Out a Room (In My Trailer for You).”

Dwight Yoakam

Dwight Yoakam is an enormously influential figure for rescuing ’80s-era, Nashville, Tenn.,-based commercial Country music from its reliance on cloyingly familiar, Pop-oriented musical clichés and boring, hack storytelling truisms.

With her latest album, Working Girl’s Guitar, Rosie Flores provides all of the guitar work to fully highlight her axe-wielding skills. On Saturday night, Flores will bring her soulful voice and classic fretwork to Newport for a special acoustic show.

The Punknecks’ bio doesn’t mince words. Calling themselves “Punky Tonkers,” Jason Punkneck is from Nashville while Polly Punkneck is from Kansas. The duo, along with their drummer Nick Punkneck, are apparently known for “a rowdy show of drinking, drugging, Jesus, smokin’ pot and living between heaven and hell.”
