Grumpy ol’ Dusty is at it again, jumping into his neighbor’s business. This time, the crotchety Hamilton County auditor wrote a memo to Cincinnati City Council members, advising them not to seek state funding for the city’s streetcar project because the county still is waiting on some cash for the not-quite-so-new-anymore Reds and Bengals stadiums. Ohio officials pledged about $80 million for the two sports facilities more than a decade ago, but county officials haven’t received the last $7.55 million of that amount.

If there's one thing that we at WWE! hope never happens, it's a high-powered local Republican suing us (seriously, how good could CityBeat's lawyers be if the paper is free?). That's why we have a well-documented history of treating local lawyer Eric Deters with respect, as he has demonstrated a willingness to file multiple lawsuits against people who say bad things about him, according to The Enquirer.

When Elena Kagan was nominated for the Supreme Court, an immediate story was that her confirmation would mean "three Jews, six Roman Catholics and no Protestants." The media still have a lingering fixation on Jews. Not Judaism, Jews. Somehow it often seems necessary to identify people by their religion when they're Jews.
