If the apocalypse is nigh, then it would seem that there’s no better place to be than James Franco’s house, where everybody parties like it’s 1999 (and I wish they had actually dropped that track into the mix). By everybody, I mean Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson and, of course, Franco playing alternate versions of themselves.

Some television characters are so ridiculous, yet somehow so true-to-life, we have a hard time separating the actor from the role. Like Tina Fey’s Liz Lemon or Steve Carell’s Michael Scott, comedian Danny McBride has truly made Eastbound and Down’s Kenny Powers an extension of himself. (Go ahead, make a boner joke — Kenny would.)

The Beastie Boys have denounced a lot of their early work. Maturity and a social conscious apparently do not allow for songs about Wiffle Ball-bat rape and giant penis stage props. So it was a bit of a shock when it was reported that the Boys’ Adam Yauch is working on a short film based on the trio’s first huge hit, “(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party!).”
