If you've never seen Chris Kittrell (aka "baby alpaca"), he's like this 7-foot-tall autoharp-wielding Ginsbergesque satyr who's on a personal mission to provide others with an auditory escape from the everyday as well as an outlet for creative collaboration and/or a skinny-dipping partner, all under the umbrella of his cuddly moniker.   

Dear MidPoint Performer: Welcome to Cincinnati, the city I've enjoyed living, working and making music in for the past 20 years. I hope your experience is a great one. And I hope you don't leave. Really. Take a good hard look around while you're here. The rent is cheap, the architecture and geography are stimulating and the people are generally sweethearts. But Cincinnati is also building something, and we need more builders with your kind of tools.  

As someone (me) once said (last year), a local music scene is only as good as its new artists. This Saturday, many of Greater Cincinnati's newest musical acts will be on hand for the eighth annual Brink New Music Showcase, scattered throughout the Southgate House.
