Right down the road from Virgil’s Café in Bellevue is a newly opened (since November) neighborhood burger joint, The Elusive Cow. Originally, I had heard that it was a vegan or vegetarian pub, but one look at the menu made it clear: This restaurant is much more than that.

Siam Orchid is tiny but inviting and in a great location. Neighbors in Bellevue like to get out and support their local eateries, so I hope this restaurant polishes its rough edges and earns their patronage.

Chef Matthew Buschle focuses on fresh local and seasonal ingredients and is obviously passionate about what he does. He took on the huge project of turning a run-down apartment building into an inviting space.
