Robert Spano, the Music Director of the Atlanta Symphony conducts. The program opens with Jennifer Higdon's "musical postcard," 'All Things Majestic', accompanied by a multi-media presentation of historic images of our hall and city. Pianist Garrick Ohlssohn known worldwide for his "magisterial interpretive and technical prowess," performs Barber's Piano Concerto. Copland's Symphony No. 3, featuring themes from 'Fanfare for the Common Man', provides the celebratory flourish.
