One of Gramophone's top ten young conductors, Jakub Hrusa, makes his CSO debut leading music of his countrymen: the tumultuous Sarka from the Smetana's beloved symphonic poem and the most nationalistic of Dvorak's symphonies, the irresistible Symphony No. 6. The awe- inspiring violinist Sarah Chang performs Barber's joyful and virtuosic Violin Concerto.
