DanceCincinnati 2011, a two weekend long dance festival presented by de la Dance Company, consists of 14 local dance companies, 16 choreographers and over 60 dancers. The mission of de la Dance is to break the boundaries between performers and audience members, foster creative collaboration, and introduce dance to newer audiences. DanceCincinnati 2011 is Friday and Saturday, Sept. 23-24 and Sept.30- Oct. 1 with performances at 8 p.m.

The main arts performance venue downtown is home to touring Broadway shows as well as a number of local arts organizations, from Cincinnati Ballet to Cincinnati Playwrights Initiative. The Cincinnati Arts Association manages the Aronoff Center, Music Hall and Memorial Hall and also produces its own comedy shows, music concerts, touring children’s productions, touring dance companies and other events, mostly at the Aronoff Center.
