Cincinnati Playwrights Initiative sets the Fifth-Third Bank Theater stage with Elegy, the winner of the second "The Best of CPI New Voices" contest. The story takes place in the time of America's Great Depression, and traces the path of Norman, a young man who chooses the duty of "staying put" over the possibility of the unknown. Rather than move out and on with a new life, he decides to remain in his parents' home as their caretaker, and Norman faces the circumstances of his generation head on. Offering a glimpse into a way of life long since passed, but never forgotten, Elegy presents a nostalgic remembering of the American spirit, and a performance not to be missed.
