Vista: Landscape in Contemporary Art

Zohair Hussain
Gallery Hours: 12-7 p.m. Tuesday-Friday. 12-5 p.m. Saturday. , Wednesday October 23 | Free.

Out of a record number of entries received for their gallery project, VISTA reveals the selected 22 works in a gallery project at Manifest. Out of 1,020 works by 409 artists from 43 states and 18 different countries, the selected 20 artists proved to be essential to the commentary on the projects theme : the ever changing idea of the definition of "landscape", and its expansion from only "the natural" to including " the man-made" as well. The selections speak with different mediums, a variety of voices at different volumes, and add to this essential conversation on living in our contemporary environment.

The exhibit runs through Oct. 25.
