Set in a time filled with speakeasies and crime, the production's updated setting puts hypocritical, ethical and religious double standards on trial while offering a deep examination of the value of virtue and the power of vice. Audience members are invited to Cincinnati Shakespeare Company Speakeasy Night festivities before and after the May 16 performance. Theatergoers are encouraged to dress in their 1920s best and enjoy “Prohibition Punch” before the show. There is an after party at JAPP’S following the show.
