The Opera Ball: Vienna After Dark

Kyle Pope
9:30 p.m. , Saturday April 27 | WHole event: $250-5000. After Party: $35 advanced, $40 at the door.

The elegant black-tie evening at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza will begin in the Hall of Mirrors with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and a Viennese waltz performed by ballroom dancers. The festivities will then move to the Pavilion Ballroom, adorned as a dazzling Viennese palace garden, for a gourmet dinner created by Todd Kelly, executive chef of the Hilton's award-winning Orchids at Palm Court restaurant. The lovely soprano Sarah Coburn will then entertain guests with classic songs from the opera and Broadway stage. Coburn, described by the Washington Post as "sweet...radiant...flawless," will star as Sophie in Cincinnati Opera's Der Rosenkavalier at Music Hall this summer.

The 2013 Opera Ball will honor longtime Opera supporters Edward and Nancy Rosenthal and Phyllis Weston for their years of inspiring service.

RED: Vienna After Dark, the chic official after-party of the 2013 Opera Ball, will begin at 9:30 p.m. in the Hall of Mirrors, featuring entertainment, an all-night dance floor, a delectable dessert buffet, and a cash bar.

All proceeds from the evening benefit Cincinnati Opera. For more information, please visit www.cincinnatiopera.org.
