Music at an Exhibition

Emmi MacIntyre
6–9 p.m.: reception, viewing art in galleries; 7:30–8:30 p.m.: free concert in the gallery , Thursday April 18

Concert:Nova, presents a very special concert to celebrate Dick Waller's Music at an Exhibition retrospective at the Clifton Cultural Arts Center, featuring over 100 pieces of his art.

This unique performance is a musical tribute to Waller's 34 years as principal clarinetist of the Cincinnati Symphony. The four current members of the CSO's clarinet section -- Ronald Aufmann, Ixi Chen, Ben Freimuth and Jonathan Gunn -- come together for an evening of clarinet music featuring Steve Reich's New York Counterpoint, and trios and quartets from Mozart to Harbison. The performance is part of concert:nova's 2013 Composer Focus Series: Steve Reich project
