Betts Longworth Histroic District Walking Tours

Kyle Pope
1 p.m. , Saturday August 24 | $10

West End – A guided walking tour of the Betts Longworth Historic District (BLHD) will explore the architecture and history of this unique neighborhood. The tour will occur regularly during walking tour season (May 25 through October26) taking place the fourth Saturday of each month at 1 pm.

Tucked away in the southeast corner of the West End, the BLHD features streetscapes unlike any other in the city. Narrow Italianate homes are mixed with nineteenth century farmhouses and early twentieth century gems. The Betts Longworth Historic District, once farmland far removed from town, became the home of notable manufacturing and retailing families. The stories of their homes and business will be explored in this 90 minute tour.
