A widow with ten million dollars in negotiable bonds, three greedy stepchildren, and a mental facility full of residents set the stage for John Patrick’s hilarious play The Curious Savage.  When Ethel Savage’s wealthy husband dies, he leaves his entire estate to her. Ethel converts everything into negotiable bonds so she can help people to reach their dreams. Ethel’s three stepchildren are not happy and, in an effort to find the bonds, commit Ethel to The Cloisters.
