Jacqueline Schwab

Emmi MacIntyre
8 p.m., Saturday March 09 | $6-$27.
Folk and classical improvisational pianist Jacqueline Schwab will soon grace the stage of University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College’s Muntz Theater.  The concert will be held as part of the Rhythm ‘N’ Blue Ash concert series hosted by the college.

Schwab is best known for her work on a dozen of Ken Burns’ documentaries, including his Grammy award-winning Civil War and the Emmy award-winning Baseball and Mark Twain, and most recently The Dust Bowl which aired on PBS in November.  She has performed live at the White House, the Smithsonian, and on the Late Show with David Letterman.

Schwab’s distinct style is somewhere between folk, traditional, classical, and new age, and is inspired by the traditional music of England, Scotland, Ireland, and America, blues, vintage tangos, Satie and Debussy, and more.
