This unique movement class for beginners introduces basic terminology and the fundamental movements of ballet, modern, African and creative dance. Dance is not just a combination of steps, but the freedom to express from within, discovering the depths of our imaginations, and gaining an awareness about our bodies and how they can move through space, building self-confidence and self-image. Many styles of music will be introduced as we keep pace with your child's sense of play, speaking the language of dance by using our bodies to express and communicate our feelings. Our creative movement activities focus on body awareness, rhythmic skill, flexibility, coordination, & releasing energy.
