Breastfeeding Realities: a Breastfeeding Class for the Expecting Parent(s)

Emmi MacIntyre
3-5 p.m., Saturday March 23 | $25 per couple.

Human bodies are designed to breastfeed after birth, and human babies are designed to receive human milk after they are born. So why do so many mothers struggle with breastfeeding? This breastfeeding class is designed to teach parents the basics of breastfeeding along with ways to avoid many of the typical breastfeeding problems, how to identify baby’s hunger cues, the reasons breastfeeding is so important, why so many “wives’ tales” just aren’t true, and what to do when birth and breastfeeding don’t go according to plan. The goal of this class is to show parents how to follow baby to a plentiful milk supply, healthy attachment, and a lifetime of benefits for the whole family. Taught by Wendy McHale, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant
