Passion & Poetry: Love, Stories of Fire and Ice

Kyle Pope
8 p.m. , Saturday February 09 | $20 presale, $25 doors, $35 VIP

Yep.... yet ANOTHER Valentine's Day and ANOTHER gift-giving dilemma. And you thought the holidays were over! Whether you are old lovers or new, we have the must unique date night that Ohio has to offer. Imagine this - an intimate Bogarts setting, dynamic music, scantily-clad women, sultry poetry, bawdy humor and the most talented performance artists from here and a-far. Add a few vendors with romantic-inspired products, a theme of fire and ice, and a reason to dress up and you just became the Sultan of Valentine's Day Gift Giving.

February’s Passion & Poetry Intimate Event will feature: Readings and Dance from the Burley Book Club by the Cin City Girls Burlesque Troupe. Poetry performances by the Bad Girl of Poetry, Kristie LeVangie. Musical performance and emcee by the divine diva, B.J. Stahl. Essay reading from the dynamic and talented, Willis Gordon. Poetry from by the author and woman of many names, Lara Konesky (a.k.a. Lariska Ryan). Performance from our resident comedian and all-around funny man, Mr. Vincent Holiday. Poetic reading by the vivacious and wise, Laura Wize. Poetry from the hit of our Open Mic portion from last show and Cleveland native, LS Royal. And on display this show, our feature photographer, Amanda Barbosa of Dayton Boudoir. As with all our shows, we will have an Open Mic portion and select Vendors.

What you need to know about this local classic is simple: It’s one of the city’s best places to catch live music, focusing on top touring acts. Fans have been coming here for generations to see bands such as The Police, The Pogues, Cake and many more. Make sure you bring cash and leave the cigarettes, lighters and associated paraphernalia in your car. And make sure you order a Foster’s Oil Can — the places that serve this beer are few and far.
