Matthew Waldeck has created a suite of drawings or historical figures, transforming Lincoln Roosevelt, and other presidents and dignitaries into action figures performing in a vast array of extraordinary and fanciful vignettes. Britney Bicknaver's photographic works merge autobiographically with the tropes and fantasies of historical dramas. When seen together, Waldeck's and Bicknaver's aesthetic universes collide and combine into both satires and celebrations of the way we worship and reinvent the past.
