May Festival Chorus auditions

 The May Festival Chorus will hold auditions throughout the month of January for both the Adult Chorus and Youth Chorus. Repertoire to be performed this spring includes Mozart's Requiem, Britten's War Requiem, Stravinsky's Oedipus Rex, and Grand Opera Choruses by Wagner and Verdi. Auditions for the May Festival Adult Chorus will be held on Tuesdays throughout January at Music Hall. Interested singers should prepare two solo works, one to be sung in English and one in a foreign language. Auditions for the May Festival Youth Chorus will be held on Sundays throughout January at the Knox Presbyterian Church. Interested singers should prepare one piece, classical in nature, and sight reading and vocalization are part of the audition. Students grades 9 - 12 are eligible to audition.
