WHAT SHOULD I BE DOING INSTEAD OF THIS?

The Heartless Bastards Do Letterman

Cincinnati's Heartless Bastards are gearing up for some heavy promotion for their third album, The Mountain, due from Fat Possum Records on Feb. 3. Along with a non-stop string of tour dates with The Black Keys, Gaslight Anthem and Andrew Bird, the group has a scheduled appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman on Feb.

10.

If my memory serves me correct, this will be the band's network television debut. The band has no Cincy dates on the horizon. Maybe a big homecoming MidPoint show would make a great "Welcome Home" tour date?

Here's a great piece on the Bastards' new album from the L.A. Times.

I second the Midpoint thought. I'm thinking the HB's at the Emery on Friday or Saturday of Midpoint, maybe the opener for an even bigger band? I like to dream.
