Universal Studios is now working on the sixth and seventh installments of the Fast and the Furious franchise. The two sequels will be billed as “Part 1” and “Part 2,” sort of like Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. You know, but terrible. Vin Diesel, in English if you would believe it, told Heat Vision that Chris Morgan’s superfluous script just wouldn’t fit in one movie. Here’s what the Pitch Black star had to say:

“With the success of this last one, and the inclusion of so many characters, and the broadening of scope, when we were sitting down to figure out what would fit into the real estate of number six, we didn’t have enough space. We have to pay off this story, we have to service all of these character relationships, and when we started mapping all that out it just went beyond 110 pages. The studio said, ‘You can’t fit all that story in one damn movie!’ ”

Big Diesel and Paul Walker are set to be in the next two films as well as Evan Mendes and Michelle Rodriguez. The sixth film is slated to be released May 24, 2013.
