Cincinnati has had many famous visitors over the years including Mark Twain, Oscar Wilde and John F. Kennedy. Now we can add Superman to the list.
As part of an ongoing storyline in DC Comics' Superman title, the Man of Steel will visit the Queen City in issue #703, on sale in September.
The famous fictional character is walking across the United States in a story arc entitled, “Grounded.” Superman is trying to reconnect with Americans and earn their trust after a recent invasion by Kryptonians, according to DC editors.
Previous stops have included Detroit and Philadelphia.
Here's how DC Comics, a unit of Time Warner Entertainment, describes Cincinnati in a solicit for the issue: “In September, the Man of Steel heads to Cincinnati, home of baseball’s Reds and the NFL’s Bengals and one of the largest historic districts in the country.”
Maybe Clark Kent can stop by Tucker's Restaurant in Over-the-Rhine for some bacon and eggs.
