I wish I could point you to a good production of a Shakespearean play today, since it's the Bard's 446th birthday. But Cincy Shakes is presenting Oscar Wilde's An Ideal Husband in a delightfully enacted production that ranges from witty humor to heartfelt emotion. It's definitely worth seeing. (Check out Tom McElfresh's review here.)
For something more serious, I'll send you to Know Theatre of Cincinnati, which tonight opens Part II: Perestroika, the second half of its ambitious staging of Tony Kushner's Angels in America.
Know has announced that the remainder of the run — which will offer both parts in rotating repertory — has added another week of performances, pushing the closing date from May 8 to May 15. This production is not to be missed.
