If this was a high school couple, it'd be voted "Tour Mostly Likely Not to Succeed" in the high school yearbook.

Playing on the notorious "sibling rivalry" of the brothers in headliners Oasis (pictured) and The Black Crowes, The Tour of Brotherly Love is essentially just a great Rock tour in the classic sense. Both bands play straight-up Rock & Roll with pretty easy-to-spot influences, but done with heart and reverence. If you've seen either band live, you know what to expect. The Black Crowes are fronted by classic showman Chris Robinson, who shakes and shimmies with the best of 'em. Oasis are far more subdued on stage, playing more on a bratty, cool demeanor that can at times be a bit of a yawn. Still, both sound great live, and the addition of neo-glammers Spacehog (also consisting of two less-contentious bros) should tilt this show over the edge, making it the first great Rock & Roll show of the summer.

At Riverbend on Thursday.
