Where the debut occasionally meandered, See It is a near-perfect combination of exotic, worldly textures and intense, driving Rock music, hypnotically enaging throughout. The group's leader, Joshua McKay, started the band after making a couple of trips to South East Asia, where he became immersed in the indigenous music of the area (and the instruments). It all comes together beautifully on See It Another Way, and Macha provides proof that, no, not everything has already been done in music. With the right mixing of styles, music can grow indefinitely.
At the Southgate House on Sunday with Loveland and Hazen Frick.
