Bilssfully subtle and gorgeously hypnotic, Yo La Tengo have spread their Velvet-y goodness across 10 records now, most recently the quiet, melancholic And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out (Matador).
While this latest effort is perhaps their sleepiest, the group's live shows have always wonderfully balanced the listless grace of their softer material with the more energetic work from their arty repertoire. Hoboken's finest always impress, both live and on record. Tonight's the night to see for yourself.
At the Southgate House on Saturday.=
