Though the group's music -- displayed gloriously on their self-titled debut album -- is akin to the likes of guitar-bands who actually get on the radio these days (Third Eye Blind, etc.), the group's music doesn't feel as contrived as some of their peers. The songs glisten with sparkling hooks, but Zero Parade don't feel the need to pander to the lowest common denominator to get attention. They simply play well-crafted Pop that will grab your attention on first listen. I'd see them now before they're too big for intimate clubs like Stanley's.
At Stanley's on Friday.
