Local produce, farmers markets and community gardens are giving a seasonal push to the farm-to-table movement in Cincinnati, and the Krohn Conservatory is getting in on it. Opening Friday with crafting and live music, its 2014 summer show will feature a landscape filled with summer annuals and edible plants to demonstrate how carefully planned backyards can create a residential garden that’s both attractive and productive.
The show continues through August and includes seminars like “Urban Gardening” and a family food camp every Saturday (new week, new food fashion).
Opening: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday. Through Aug 24. $4. Krohn Conservatory, 1501 Eden Park Drive, Mount Adams, cincinnatiparks.com.
