Right-wing blowhard Rush Limbaugh last week described Pope Francis’ statements decrying excessive capitalism and calling for more inclusion and charity in the world as “pure Marxism.” WORLD -1

A former Cincinnatian who runs the Los Angeles Metro transit agency took to Twitter to comment on the absurdity of Cincinnati’s incoming administration stopping a transportation project under construction. “This is so typically Cincy,” he tweeted, “btw. At least the @Bengals are doing well!” CINCINNATI -2

Toys“R”Us is taking heat on the interwebs for releasing a TV commercial showing a tour guide from the “Meet the Trees Foundation” taking children on a lame retreat into the woods only to surprise them by tearing off his park ranger suit and driving to Toys“R”Us so they can freak out in an empty store full of shiny plastic toys. WORLD -1

A Republican National Committee official last week argued that gay people shouldn’t receive health care because they abuse the system too much.

The former Michigan state representative, Dave Agema, also earlier this year said half the murders every year in any large city are committed by gay people. WORLD -2
