The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center gives guests the opportunity to take a trip into the 19th century and delve into the history behind the major motion picture 12 Years a Slave, based on the true story of Solomon Northup.
Guests use a self-guided tour to learn about various aspects of Northup’s life, from his captivity in slavery to his ultimate escape to freedom
