There are a lot of fun events on Main Street this Final Friday — not the least of which is Kirk Mayhew’s exhibition, Intercept, at 1305 Gallery. The ceramics artist was one of 1305 Gallery’s first hosted artists in 2005; he also teaches in the sculpture department at Thomas More College as well as at Funke Fired Arts.

Juxtaposing rough clay works with clean-edged, man-made materials on a small scale (apropos of 1305’s diminutive space), Mayhew’s show looks to be thoughtfully conceived and well-crafted.

Opening reception: 6-11 p.m. Through Sept. 22. Free. 1305 Main St., Over-the-Rhine, 1305gallery.blogspot.com.
