Maybe you’ve seen the 2002 film of this classic show, but Chicago is even more brassy and sassy onstage. Find out for yourself as Covington’s Carnegie opens its production of the sexy Jazz Age story about murder and mayhem in 1920s Chicago.

Choreographer David Baum and actress Leslie Goddard are Broadway veterans who’ve come home to Cincinnati.

Goddard’s playing sweet murderess Roxie Hart; Baum’s in charge of the hot dancing that Chicago’s known for. Local directors Dee Anne Bryll and Ed Cohen are sure to make this a watchable production.

Through Aug. 25. $19-$26. The Carnegie, 1028 Scott Blvd., Covington, 859-957-1940, thecarnegie.com.
