Norwood’s Listermann Brewing Company introduces a new beer and brewing festival, Volksfest, in concert with the German-American Citizens League of Greater Cincinnati. “Volk” is the German word for “people,” and Cincy area brewers have come together to show how much their customers mean to them.

Breweries involved include Blank Slate, Fifty West, Christian Moerlein, Rock Bottom, Rivertown, Mt.

Carmel, Mad Tree, Cellar Dweller, Wiedemann, Quaff Bros, Rhinegeist, Triple Digit and Listermann. Some of these breweries will even be making beers just for the event!

The event starts at 9 a.m. with Kegs and Eggs in the tasting room. The ceremonial keg tapping of Listermann’s Volksfest Lager will be at 4 p.m. There will also be live music all day as well as other food, booths and more at this family- and dog-friendly event.

9 a.m.-11 p.m. Free. Listermann Brewing Company, 1621 Dana Ave., Norwood, listermannbrewing.com

I hope Dino's Gorilla Grill is going to be there serving food. They have the best kraut on their bratwurst. AWESOME!
