The 26th annual Juneteenth Festival will celebrate the legal end of slavery in the United States, a tradition with historical roots in Texas that began in Cincinnati in 1988. The weekend promises plenty of food, music and historical accounts, with a depiction of Harriet Tubman’s life and performances by R&B group Basic Truth and magician Allen Astonisher.
On Sunday, join family and friends for the Father’s Day concert, a revival of inspirational music that has traditionally been excluded from mainstream stages
