From found footage to more conventional narrative filmmaking, the saga of Nell Sweetzer (Ashley Bell), the tortured victim of both a sadistic demon and an exorcism gone wrong, continues in compelling fashion under the guidance of co-writer and director Ed Gass-Donnelly (Small Town Murder Songs). Nell leaves her backwoods roots for college and the modern social media age, but something wicked follows her and must be dealt with once and for all, meaning we’re in store for more demonic possessions and more exorcisms.
Can’t everybody just leave this poor girl alone? Now in theaters. (PG-13) Not screened in time for review
