Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 Supreme Court
case that legalized women’s right to have abortions, is arguably the
most defining moment in the arena of women’s reproductive rights that
most of us will experience in our lifetime. Thanks to a slew of
increasingly loony remarks from the GOP over the past year, the women’s
health arena has been a bit volatile lately, but that’s all the more
reason to celebrate what has stayed the same and take public your
support for women to maintain jurisdiction over their own bodies when it
comes to decisions about reproductive health and pregnancy.
