With as big of a presence as it has become on the local original music scene, it’s hard to believe that MOTR Pub — which regularly brings in touring acts and features music in Over-the-Rhine seven days a week — has only been around for two years. Wednesday night, the club celebrates its anniversary (it opened for the MidPoint Music Festival in 2010) with a special concert/party featuring a performance by MPMF veteran Lydia Loveless, the on-the-rise, Ohio-based Americana/Rock chanteuse currently signed to the esteemed Bloodshot Records.
Loveless released her Bloodshot debut, Indestructible Machine, to wide acclaim last year, while, more recently, Bloodshot released a vinyl single, featuring Machine’s ass-kickin’ “Bad Way to Go” backed by live favorite “Alison,” Loveless’ version of the Elvis Costello classic. 10 p.m. Wednesday Sept. 26. Free. 21 and up. MOTR Pub, 1345 Main St., Over-the-Rhine. motrpub.com.
